By the time a box of gloves reaches a private healthcare end user in Canada, it has passed through four or five sets of hands, and every one of them takes a margin. The end user pays for all of them.

We started on the wholesale side, buying like a national master distributor in truckloads, container loads, and chartered air freight, with direct manufacturer relationships and the kind of purchasing power only a handful of companies in Canada can match. Then we made a decision nobody else in this industry has made. We took that wholesaler scale and brought it directly to the end user. No regional wholesalers. No local distributors. No middlemen of any kind.

That is what Whole-Chain Distribution means. We control the entire chain. Wholesaler buying power, delivered direct to the end user. The end user wins on price because they are buying at the top of the chain instead of the bottom. The brands we represent win because their product moves at higher velocity through fewer hands. The middle gets compressed.

It is the only model that makes sense in a modern healthcare supply market, and as far as we know, no other distributor in Canada operates this way. We coined the term because we are the only ones doing it. WCD stands for Whole-Chain Distribution because that is exactly what we do.
