ConvaMax Superabsorbent Dressing

ConvaMax Superabsorber effectively manages exudate to maintain skin integrity and help support healing.1 ConvaMax Superabsorber dressing can be used as a primary or secondary dressing. In wounds with depth, AQUACEL Hydrofiber dressing with Strengthening Fibre may be used as a primary layer and covered with an appropriately sized ConvaMax Superabsorber dressing,combining an advanced wound contact layer with high absorption capacity. Exudate is absorbed into and transferred through the Hydrofiber layer and is then absorbed by ConvaMax Superabsorber.

• Too much moisture can hamper healing
• Superabsorber dressings are used to extract much of this moisture - and its harmful bacteria.
• This creates an environment where skin integrity is maintained and wounds can heal effectively.
• Shallow wounds that don't require an additional primary dressing, like shallow venous leg ulcers.
• Friable peri-wound skin that is liable to tear, such as elderly skin or areas of excoriation.
• Weeping oedema where the skin is likely to stick to dressings.
• Deeper wounds which require a primary dressing, for example a deep diabetic foot ulcer.
• Tunnelling or sinus wounds, with high levels of exudate that need packing.
• Macerated peri-wound, where exudate needs to be absorber quickly.
